Job Description:

The Key Account Manager joins a team of respected industry problem solvers that the world’s leading companies rely on to keep their operations running and elevate them to new levels of efficiencies. The Key Account Manager is responsible for the sale of DAMBACH systems in North America, with a large installed customer base across multiple industries and sectors. The Key Account Manager identifies, qualifies, and acquires business opportunities and provides account management. The Key Account Manager expands the market penetration of DAMBACH within the North American Market, drawing upon the resources of an international parent company that is a market leader in automated warehouse systems. In his function as a DAMBACH representative he is in charge of customer retention and technical sales consulting.




  • Execute direct sales and business development efforts for DAMBACH within the targeted markets in North America
  • Conduct comprehensive market analysis of existing and potential target markets/prepare sales forecasts
  • Document and manage sales activities including customer interactions, opportunities, and account information through active use of Salesforce
  • Perform account management with existing accounts and expand customer base by developing new account opportunities. Cultivate long term relationships with key account decision makers
  • Attend weekly Revenue and Sales Meetings
  • Actively participate in key trade & business associations and trade shows to generate leads and increase visibility
  • Develop a complete understanding of the client organization’s structure and key buying influences of assigned accounts. Propose customized offers and solutions that would be suit client needs
  • Preparation and presentation of business proposals articulating the value proposition of DAMBACH offerings
  • Keep abreast of market trends, competitor’s activities, and client feedback
  • Work closely with integrator partners to develop creative solutions that result in competitive advantage
  • Generates market analysis and target client analysis

Required Skills / Qualifications:


  • Relevant experience in the intralogistics and automation industry
  • Willingness to regularly work out of the Detroit-Farmington Hills based office
  • BS in Engineering or any related field
  • Minimum 2 years of successful selling and building client relationships experience, ideally within the intralogistics/warehousing or related industries
  • Strong interest in sales of complex, customizable, technical, automated products that require technical understanding and the ability to explain and advise customers on technical issues
  • Should be energetic, persuasive, competitive, likes to win and is well organized and is able to demonstrate the ability to sell intralogistics systems and related equipment
  • Excellent ability to explain sales proposals (prepared by others)
  • Exceptional communication skills when interacting with clients and internal team members
  • Excellent time manager, able to balance multiple projects and prioritize a broad variety of issues, initiatives, and objectives concurrently
  • Demonstrates high ethical standards and values
  • Values personal integrity and honesty
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
