DAMBACH Smart Energy Management (DSE)

Energy efficiency and high throughput are not mutually exclusive. DAMBACH Smart Energy Management (DSE) reduces the energy consumption of automated storage systems by one-third and cuts peak power draw from the grid to one-fifth. All this is achieved without compromising performance and without the need for complex grid feed-back systems. DSE is suitable for stacker cranes and vertical conveyors and can also be integrated into existing control systems.

How DSE works

DAMBACH stacker cranes recover energy during braking and lowering of the load. DSE stores this energy in power capacitors and makes it directly available for acceleration and lifting operations. There is no need for grid power feedback. If the energy storage units cannot be fully charged through energy recovery, DSE recharges them from the grid during periods of low load. This reliably prevents power surges.
