MODERNIZATION AND SERVICE
Optimize Existing Warehouses and Facilities

Modernizing the Inventory Warehouse
Modernization and Retrofit
If you operate a forklift-based warehouse, you don’t have to build a new facility to benefit from modern automation technology. With LOGI-KIT, DAMBACH offers a cost-effective automation solution for existing warehouses. Existing buildings and infrastructure remain usable to the greatest extent possible, and installation can be carried out in phases while operations continue. With a DAMBACH retrofit, you’ll get an upgrade for your warehouse: higher performance, maximum availability, and future-proof technology.
Modernization of High-Bay Warehouses
Retrofit of Storage and Conveyor Systems
Automated high-bay warehouses with a service life of more than 20 years require modernization. An assessment is conducted to evaluate existing control systems and inspect mechanical components. In collaboration with the customer, comprehensive retrofit concepts are developed to optimize warehouse operations—ensuring they are future-proof and cost-effective.
Automation of the Inventory Warehouse
From a forklift-operated rack warehouse to an automated storage system
No new construction is necessary. LOGI-KIT automates existing buildings with ceiling heights of up to 14 m cost-effectively and, in some cases, without interrupting operations. Depending on the configuration, the existing racking can even be reused.
Warehouse Automation Instead of New Construction
Your inventory warehouse can do more
Whether you’re looking to fundamentally automate your existing warehouse using LOGI-KIT or retrofit your existing high-bay warehouse—together, we’ll determine the most cost-effective and suitable solution for you, taking all factors into account.

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions About Modernization and Service
The use of forklifts is not incompatible with subsequent automation using automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS). Mixed operation with forklifts and AS/RS in separate aisles is also possible. In certain cases, a combination of manual and automated warehouse operations may be the more cost-effective solution. The simultaneous use of forklifts and automated stacker cranes in an area that is not physically separated—e.g., in the same aisle—is not permitted due to safety regulations.
Thanks to standardized load carriers (pallets or containers), a wide variety of warehouses—such as production warehouses, shipping warehouses, transshipment warehouses, etc.—can be automated. Cost-effective implementation depends on several factors, such as storage capacity and inventory turnover.
